Who is Gullys Garden Florist, and how did it all start.
Gullys Garden Florist is a small home florist in the suburbs of Coopers Plains. It is run by a single owner - who does 
all the early mornings at the market, processes all the flowers, makes every bouquet and arrangement, then deliveries.  Why.
As an owner operator I (Maree) enjoy the whole process and have done this for 30 yrs - I enjoy speaking with people and meeting new people - everyone has their own story of why they purchase and to do just a small part of
that is such an honor.
Why did I start Gullys Garden.
Before all of this came to fruition - I started a Floral Course in my late 20s/ early 30s working at nights - doing nightfill for 10 yrs I got carpel tunnel in my left hand which needed surgery so I couldn't finish my course and by the time I was ready to go back that course was no longer on offer.   So I left it for a year but then got carpel tunnel in my right hand - again surgery was needed.  A few years passed and then the worst thing happened - I got the message the morning I came home from work that my mum had pasted - I dropped to my knees and screamed, this broke me as I loved and still do to this day Love my Mum with all my heart.
In 1989 - September 26th - I started Gullys Garden Floral Services or as known today Gullys Garden Florist - Coopers Plains.  Why September 26th - September 25th is my Mums birthday and notification came on that day the 26th, a day late but still close enough to honor my Mum

Gully was my Mums nickname - I have no idea where it came from but that's what we called her.
My Mum born in the 1925 a true lady, a great mum - strict but fair.  
Garden - When I went home, I remember being in Mums garden and helping care for the garden and have some great conversations.   Hence the name: Gullys Garden.
So, 30 yrs on and I still love working and being around flowers.  With every bouquet or arrangement my Mum is right by my side helping me be the best I am and helping me create some beautiful creations and memories not only for myself but for those that have engaged my services. 
Gullys Garden Florist is not just a Florist - its more than that we personalize all that we do - we have had some great
conversations and connections over the past 30 yrs - and for every connection I have I am truly grateful and honored to be allowed to take part in the occasion.   THANK YOU.
